The Quality Assurance Programme "Arlagården®" specifies the requirements for milk production on farms which supply milk to Arla.
This way, they ensure that their milk is of the best quality and produced in a responsible manner – and at the same time they protect their reputation as cooperative Arla farmers. Arlagården® makes sure that we produce milk responsibly within these four cornerstones:

Each farmer in the programme is visited by trained agricultural advisors who will ensure that their farm complies with the rules in Arlagården®. Farmers who need to improve in specific areas will receive advise and a follow-up visit to ensure completion of the improvements. If a farmer unexpectedly should commit a major violation of the programme, the cooperative will not accept his or her milk until the issue has been addressed.
Arlagården is applicable in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Holland and Austria, and prospectively also to suppliers in the United Kingdom.
